Cyberport Incubation Programme

申請表其中一項是 “Objectives – the “why” of the company. Please state in clear and specific terms what the company aims to achieve”,我乾脆這樣寫:

Gameislive aims to bring healthy, low cost “green” entertainment to the grassroots.

With its addictive nature, electronic game has traditionally been perceived as “soft drugs” to youngster, especially in Chinese society. Even today when the Hong Kong Government claims to support the creative industry, websites with gaming information are blocked for people accessing the Internet with “GovWifi” in public library ( see https://ckxpress.com/oct1hexie )

[screen cap of GovWiFi blocking screen]

While we regard this as a naive understanding, an unfair accusation and arguably a discrimination, we do think the electronic game industry has a role to play to make games impose positive effects to the community.

We believe electronic game is a powerful tool, just like books, TV, movies and other media. When used in a positive way, games can not only bring fun and joy, but also convey healthy ideology and positive worldview.

If above is just a dream, as a bottom-line, mobile game is a new form of entertainment for not only the middle class but also the grassroots. In China in particular, the most prominent class of mobile game players are known to be the “three-low” users (三低, pronounced 3D in Putonghua to jokingly contrast to 3-dimensional), referring to people who are young, barely educated and with low income. For these people, mobile phones are one of the very few assets they have and mobile game has become an indispensable entertainment among them.

This is the “why” of Gameislive.

    好”串標”, i like it!

    1. 個班評審唔係官 (你唔係寸緊佢地)
    2. 你提供了一定的娛樂性 (特別係在無聊的評審工作過程中)
    3. 嗰啲係OPM

    1. 「kin」的個人頭像

      @tyo 咩係OPM呀?
      我嘗試過自己搵答案㗎,但係
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OPM
      有成十幾個,冇個似,除咗..
      opium!

    用標書寫政策評論,真係服得你好緊要。

    你因住被政府標籤,以後逢親要hard sell創意工業,就拿你來粉飾櫥窗 ── 好似在中環做老火湯那間個體戶咁。

      @水駱駝 冇妳諗得咁具體,但其實也有擔心過。雖然唔係從政,但也算是“走入建制”的一種。
      我身為既得利益者,但其實連科學園的設立也有保留(唔係反對,有機會另外寫),走入去
      以後,就會被視為認同了。做得好的話,人家會叫你講一兩句,話政府啲政策點幫到我,
      我點講?話根本幫唔到乎?

      但想深一層,這種矛盾我哋早就在面對了,打從身為中(華人民共和)國一份子開始。
      既然那是既定事實,而我哋唔打算搞革命,不如參與其中,搵機會令佢變好一點點點點吧。

      btw, soci老師,妳同唔同意Marx,”the point is to change it”?

    我只能比一個字你

      @Terence 從來冇人咁形容我.. i’m surprised and deeply humbled.

      @Alvis 幾抵死:)
      看過另一篇說兔子學遊泳的作品,我覺得更深刻,
      很難想象真的有學生有這份能耐在考試寫出這樣的作品:

      @ed 係人都知我易搵㗎啦,不過放咗個禮拜假去泰國唧。剛返嚟幾個鐘,見到你個貓,盡快覆,唔好意思。。

    1. 「kin」
